No increment of school fee

Dear Prof. Arthur K.C.Li

According to the Sing Tao Daily on 2006/5/5, the EMB would like to increase the tuition fee of F.4-F.7 of all government school and subsidied secondary school by $350, which require much more.

Despite the financial need of the HK government, its too unreasonable to increase the fee twice within two years.
1. EMB has opened a number of new secondary schools at the same time, which is much more than the money earned by increasing the tuition fee of F.4-F.7 solely.
2. The economy of the Hong Kong has just recovered. Most citizens in Hong Kong are unable to be benefited from that. Increasing the tuition fee will definitely increase the pressure of the parents.
3. The EMB have never hold any meeting to listen to the students and parents before handing in the proposal to the Legislative Council.

We sincerely hope that Prof. Arthur K.C.Li can consider the need of the parents and students, and postpone this plan.
