A Petition to urge President George W. Bush to issue an Executive Order at the beginning of the new year of 2005 to pardon the Federal Prisoner, Martha Stewart.
We, the undersigned, request that the President issue the necessary Order to pardon Martha Stewart based on her prison time already served in West Virginia. It is our belief that the time already served is a positive demonstration of the legal requirement of her conviction in Federal Court. Further incarceration is not deemed necessary to serve the public's interest.
Mr. President, we feel it is our legal duty to request such action from you, as our elected official, and it is your duty to respond in a responsible manner.
