Let's STOP the rot and Help the Lot. May all (ir)responsible politicians stop proposing new laws to implement as thought child play at the expense of the people without

a) proper 6 months or more (as required) period of detailed study of practicality of system, proven success in 10 or more countries, feedbacks from consumers in these countries, feedbacks from study groups comprising of consumer group association, quality control group, selected public members with no business-interest in the project.



b)Implementing and enforcement accountability. Unless the existing laws passed under the individual Ministry are carried out satisfactory, do not waste the people fund to pass on more laws where the failure is guaranteed to be blamed on "Not enough enforcement officers", "We were not consulted" by the law enforcers, etc.

i)Look at the latest Craze "Car Number Plate" that is going to cost RM100+. When the poor man on the road is suffering from petrol price increase and related increases with no income adjustment to match, instead of cracking the minds to see how the Government can do more to lessen the burden, someone on top is thinking of how to milk the rakyat!

ii)Recollect how the Speed Light that was compulsive for all heavy vehicles. What about the Speed control device? All white elephants? Who suffers in the end? The silent oppressed transport owners.

iii) Worst is, non-smokers are now being made to pay the high price as 2nd hand smokers, endangering their health and lives. What happened to the non-smoking zones in restricted areas like restaurants, offices, lifts.....

Please do not ask us to respect the law enforcers as I feel the Government has failed us! Respect must be earned not forced. All the Millions of Ringgit wasted. The Government should pass a law to instruct all the NO-Smoking signs be removed with immediate effect. It is a mockery to the Law to put up signs but no enforcement.

If our neighbouring country can enforce such rules effectively, why can't we? Malaysia Boleh or Tak boleh?

iv) Is there a single set of law for all Malaysians or 2 to 3 sets? Why can't anyone use dark tinted glass as with any of the Yang Berhormats or the luxury cars? Affordibility, Corruptibility or Connectibility?



Dear Prime Minister, we need proof of Positive Change. At the end of your term, we wish to remember you as a Man of Action but not NATO, No Action, Talk Only.



Proposals:

Revamp the penalth/fines to Higher Rates including compulsive jail sentence or community service for ALL offenders and get the Press release of offenders in action;



All year round Enforcement. Please do not treat implementation like election campaign. Show the rakyat you mean business. More fines meant more money to the Government coffers. Can be channelled to the less-fortunate - charity.



Accountability: Ministers who failed to implement the laws in their area should be made to resign. Similiarly, the Department heads must ensure their staff enforce the rules or else they face demotion, transfer, salary deduction or asked to resign. Everyone will start taking their responsibility serious when the Top hats start executing actions.



Can we be assured of Remedial Actions instead of verbal assurance? "We need to be Cruel to a few spoilt brats in orfer to be Kind to ALL".



Should the Government still feel that it lack the Human resources, I (and I am sure many others)are willing to put forward our time and service, God willing.



Above all are silent agony suffered by the Rakyat. Please support if you feel your fundamental rights have been eroded.
