PETITION AGAINT RICERCA BIOSCIENCES THAT USES 32 MACAQUES FOR RESTING A MEDECINE ALREADY SOLD ON THE MARKET !

On Monday, May 28th, 2012, in the laboratory « Ricerca Bioscience » placed in « Saint Germain sur l'Arbresle » (a little city near Lyon, France), scientists are going to force 32 macaques to ingest for 2 weeks toxic doses of a medicine, nevertheless this medeceine is already sold on the market ! The name of this medicine is « Ammonaps »
In the term of this "force-feeding", the 32 macaques will be killed to study their organs...
Besides this excessive use of these primates for experimentation, the ethological researches for those last years proved the existence of a mental universe and a real biography to the immense majority of the ground megafauna and more particularly for the primates.
It is necessary stop considering primates as " enough close to Human to be able to use them in our Human good will, but not rather close to Human to deserve the right for these animals to live a life moved by their own appropriate purposes ".
This logic finds sense only in the absurd !
That is why we officially ask the laboratory « Ricera Biosciences »:
1/ to prefer substitute methods to realize this study: these methods are based on the Human being and thus, are 100 % more reliable than the use of the animal model ;
2/ to give the 32 macaques to the Foundation Brigitte Bardot which has alreday made the demand to the competent authorities to offer to these animals a life which corresponds to what they are and to WHOM they are.
