Petition to get a public allotment in the Ystalyfera & Ystradgynlais area

As you've probably noticed the price of fresh food is constantly rising and most of the supermarket veg has been artificially grown with pesticides and chemical fertilisers and had to travel half way around the world to get to you. Factor into this the health and social benefits of being outdoors and providing your own food and you have quite a compelling case. The local government is bound by law to provide allotment space if there is more than 6 people who request it in an area, however NPT have completely ignored this legislation. So we need to bring the issue to a larger audience and show how passionately our communities feel about the subject. Currently our nearest allotment is in Neath, which has a 2 year waiting list and would negate any savings in fuel costs and traveling time.
