The town of Marystown is the economic hub of the Burin Peninsula. People turn to Marystown for government services, banking and their shopping needs.
Their shopping needs, however, aren't being met to a satisfactory level. It seems that Wal-Mart and Canadian Tire are really the only 2 stores on the Peninsula where people can do their shopping.
So in signing this petition we hope to get other franchises to come to Marystown to set up shop.

there is little or no choice for shopping on the burin peninsula. I did most of my Christmas shopping online. Walmart has limited quantities and when sales happen, you better be in the store. I have also experienced us in our area getting the flyers a day
