Placing Police Officers Around "Bad" New York City Schools

We, the students of New York City and their parents, have come to learn that there have been many incidents of attacks near many schools of New York City after school-hours. Students have been robbed and assaulted by other students or petty criminals. The kids feel scared trying to get home every day. Even the friends of the assaulted students, who may be studying in other schools, are concerned about the occurrence of such incidents around their own schools and are worried that they may be the next victims. The undersigned, some being actual subjects of attacks, feel an urgent need to have at least one police officer to patrol troubled schools of New York after school-hours to help prevent these attacks. We feel it will tremendously help in reducing the number of assaults outside of schools.
