I, the undersigned, feel that the radio program Planet Urban deserves recognition and exposure on a higher level. The program has been on the air for over Three years and has a dedicated and diverse fan base, of which I am a loyal and devoted part. Planet Urban is a highly original and funny program, which provides the youth of Australia with access to a broad range of Urban music from around the world, as well as valuable and entertaining information about their favourite musical artists.

I feel that Planet Urban has outgrown it's current platform - the Student Youth Network Inc., a community station in Melbourne, and a late-night slot on the Community Radio Network. I believe that Planet Urban is now more suited to be a part of a more comercial Broadcaster, than the current Station that Planet Urban is currently Broadcasting.

The program already features extremely unique and entertaining interviews with many local and international superstars of the Urban scene - an aspect of the show which I believe would become even better with more exposure.

A huge number of young people in Melbourne and Australia love Planet Urban and all it has to offer, as proven by website stats and the large amount of correspondence the presenters receive (often over 40 messages every week). I believe that were my recommendations followed, the show would be extremely well received by people both young and old who appreciate Urban music, unpretentious comedy and presenters who aren't made of plastic.
