We are a group of passionate fans of electronic gaming and esports, and we were deeply offended by an article on Kotaku on the fifth of July about competitive gaming.

The mocking tone of this article seeks to portray esports fans as a less-than-worthy subset of gamers, and is a condescending and fact-free offensive swill that we hope you won't support.
Recent gaming events have shown a huge interest in games as a competitive sport, and the fan interest is growing from event to event. During MLG Columbus over 100,000 people watches simultaneously as the winner of the Starcraft 2 yournament was crowned - two-fold increase from previous events.
We hope you will continue to support esports and competitive gaming, and that you will use your advertising dollars on websites that are supportive of the industry instead of mocking it.
We, the fans of esports, would greatly appreciate your continued support.
