Protect My VA Home Loan Benefit

We the undersigned, urge the members of the United States Congress to protect the VA Home Loan Benefit from the financial reform bill currently being negotiated in conference. As Veterans, when we enlisted we were promised certain benefits and we expect you to honor that promise.
While we understand the need for Congress to debate and pass a strong financial reform bill, it does not make sense to us, why it would even be under consideration to eliminate the VA Home Loan Program. These are not sub prime loans and in fact have the lowest rate of foreclosure amongst all loan categories. As passed by the Senate, the Merkley Amendment would gut the VA Home Loan Program by taking away our Congressionally mandated right to refinance our VA-guaranteed home loan to a lower interest rate and monthly payment without new underwriting requirements.
We stand ready to fight for our country wherever we are called. We hope that you will stand with us now and fight for our benefits. Please demand that the conferees exempt the VA Home Loan Amendment from the financial reform bill.

Congress needs to kick up the veterans benifits you can keep doing stimulas's for the public now you need to increase Veterans benifits especially the service connected 100\% veterans it's not enough to live on and we pay for it everyday your freedom

Why does the congress,senate an the prez want to do this to us. I am one of the ones who was spit on and called a murderer. Gee thanks uncle sam,least I not forget the MS I have from AGENT ORANGE.Gotta love ya for that one .
