We believe that the University of North Texas does need a graphical representation that promotes the university in the best way possible. We believe that the new options for logos do not meet expectations. A simple "NT" rather than "UNT" we feel would be a much better brand for our wonderful school to promote to all past alumni as well as current and future students. The words 'North Texas' have been a part of our school's identity from the beginning in 1890 until the present in every school name we have ever fallen under. Every graduate and future graduate can claim to have a degree from 'North Texas'.

Please allow the Athletic Department to use the interlocking "NT" for athletic and marketing purposes.

"North Texas" covers every era of our school, as does the logo of "NT". You will not see TTU on a Texas Tech helmet, nor TAMU on a Texas A&M one! Even USC uses just "SC" on spiritwear. Try it, it's easy: ..........NT NT NT NT NT NT NT NT NT NT
