Re-Sign Ales Hemsky, Do Not Trade him

It is high time the Edmonton Oilers show a commitment to keep one of the best players in franchise history (and the best player in the last decade) on the team to retire as an Oiler. I am not saying a retirement contract now, but I am saying trading him away for spare parts is unacceptable. For 5+ years this man has kept a fanbase who has had little to nothing to cheer for coming back. Now that they have some future stars on the rise they are going to toss aside the back bone of the team for spare parts. 5 years later Ryan Smyth proved this is nothing more than wasted deal. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WITH HEMMER. Show what commitment to a team means. Show what commitment to a city means. Re-Sign Hemmer. Nuff Said
