Reduce prices on MTNL Triband, Mumbai
Sign Now
There exists a harsh disparity between the number of Broadband Internet plans and subsequent pricing between the Metropolitan areas of Delhi and Bombay (Mumbai).
We hereby petition that more triband plans be introduced in Mumbai and the existing prices be brought down as soon as possible, to the same level if not lower than the ones in Delhi.
The pricing for similar services should be the same and not be gouged. Higher prices are understood wherever Value Added Taxes are applicable, but an unlimited 256kbps plan costs Rs.2500 in Mumbai whereas in Delhi it is only Rs.599.
These prices must include but are not restricted to all the unlimited services like Trib Unlimited Plans 1 through 4 to name few, and yet there exists 5 more unlimited plans in Delhi.
The pricing information is listed under the MTNL triband services as mentioned on your website.

We also encourage you to constantly improve your services and make sure that the lines stay active especially during the monsoon season. Citations should be issued to corrupt linesmen who disrupt services to get their palms greased.
MTNL's Triband broadband internet services are based on ADSL 2+ technology capable of attaining speeds up to 24Mbps and 1/3rd of that attainable speed is already available in the implementations present throughout the world. In places like North America, speed tests on DSL lines reveal speeds of 1.7Mbps that are available for about $15 a month which translates to less than Rs.750 a month.
Mumbai has been the birthplace of the Gateway to the outside world since the dawn of the Internet in India and yet the unlimited plan was not introduced to Mumbai till last month. Apparently the Financial Capital of India must see better, and not worse.
