Rejection of 2010 FIFA World Cup

In the past few years, there have been many sporting events which have had poor officiating. Though it is said the players decide the game, only one bad call can affect it and change the complexion, and thereby the result.

Many fans of many sports around the world have been irate at obvious bad calls, and all want improvements.

No event has been more controversial than the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Based on the frequency of bad calls, player complaints about the ball, and FIFA's refusal to take significant action prior to the end of the tournament, we request:

1. The immediate resignation of all FIFA executives (additionally based on events since 2006),

2. A public investigation of the official ball,

3. New regulations on referees, including penalties for bad calls and the allowance of overturning bad calls at the FIFA level, and

4. The ejection of all results from the 2010 World Cup.


Note 3. above does not include instant replay, as it is unfeasable in a game where the clock does not stop. One example of improvement could be two additional referees whose sole purpose is to stand at a corner to determine if a ball completely crossed the goal line.
