Because of the innocent looking website, Neopets.com, people have started to neglect, hate and loathe living and breathing pets in general, because of the fact that the actual Neopets on Neopets.com pretend to die for about, 15 years and still never die, but never cease to annoy people.
Why does it annoy them so much? The fact that they are pretty much never happy, if you decide not to come online for just a few days, your Neopet goes into a stage of dying, and even if you decide not to come online for about a year, your Neopet is still dying. Then, you go out and play games rabidly for about an hour buying food that costs about 200np a piece, then your Neopet decides that it doesnt like a certain food and doesnt eat it, yet it is still dying. This is just one of many annoyances on Neopets.com.
So, from this annoyance towards them, people then think to themselves, Hey! Neopets must be just like a normal pet!! I never want a pet now! They are so annoying!
So from that happening, people have decided that they no longer want to keep a pet, meaning that little bunny rabbits and puppy dogs from pet shops will sit infront of the little window, watching all the people walking past with their full shopping bags and wallets full of money and wondering why they arent coming over to play with them like they always used to. They are going to sit there in their windows, eating their shit because they have nothing better to do and eventually die of fume inhalation of the number ones in the shredded paper.
So ask yourself, is that what you want to arise in society? Do you want all those puppies to sit in the pet shops, waiting to be bought because of a website like Neopets.com that depicts pets as annoying?
