Sweet Jesus, people! Day Break is like Groundhog Day, but substituting Taye Diggs for Bill Murray - which is basically a wash unless you need someone to rid your country club of gophers. And no f-ing Andie McDowell! AND WITH GUNS!
How is it possible that you take Lost, which has succumbed to typical J.J. Abrams confusion (polar bears? magnets? numbers? ARG!), and replace it with something that's both a little bit cerebral and a lot bit explosion-riffic, and the ratings tank?
That does not make sense.
Based on the latest information available to me via t3h intarweb, Day Break is destined for cancellation. I am of the strong opinion that that sucks - for me, for you, and for the four nielsen watchers who actually tuned in last week. Please keep in mind that I would like to f-ing know how it ends. I didn't care when My So Called Life hit the scrap heap, or when Freaks and Geeks was decomissioned, or when Vanished vanished. Even though those shows had no Andie McDowell, they had the taint of suck. Day Break doesn't.
I am one of a multitude of, perhaps, dozens who believes that Day Break should be kept around for at least a season. I mean - how the hell do they get a second season going? What kind of shark jumping can we expect in season two - will they bring in Dean Stockwell and put Taye Diggs in drag? It can't end well, so we vote for it to continue indefinitely.
