This is a petition addressed to the Prime Minister, 10 Downing Street, London, SW12AA. Sir, on behalf of the citizens of the United Kingdom, and the entire Planet Earth, we implore you to cease the use of nuclear power in the United Kingdom. Our world is in crisis, as you are very aware, and the devastation from the disaster in Japan will resonate with the human race for the rest of whatever time we have left on this beautiful planet. Here is where you can stand up Sir, and make a difference. You have the opportunity to step out on a ledge and do something that so many others in your position would shy, and have shied away from. To put an end to the nuclear travesty, thrust upon us through political agenda, decades ago. Our research shows 7 operational nuclear power plants in the United Kingdom, with a further site planned. Oldbury was due to close 2 years ago. This was extended to 2011, this year. Now yet another extension has been applied for. Even in light of recent events at Fukishima, Japan? Sir, this petition is not one of a radical group of activists, seeking anarchy or upheaval. This is a petition on behalf of every single citizen of the United Kingdom, and every single person on Planet Earth. It is not the place of this petition to address the energy crisis as a whole, as you know, there are natural alternatives available that do not purge the earth of its resources and goodness. What this petition is about Prime Minister, is this; We want to live. We want our children to live, and their children after that and so on. It is our right as human beings, born of this earth, to do just that; live! Nuclear power has made this planet sick and put our mortality as a race in peril. Beyond any doubts, we are facing extinction. We the undersigned implore you to take the necessary steps to aid the survival of not only the United Kingdom, but the entire Planet Earth.
