As of the 13th May 2011, we all found out that Rob Woolley, our personal tutor and programming lecturer, was to be let go by the college at the end of this academic year. For many of us, Rob has helped us out massively and has made a big impact on our development through college. If you've ever needed help in your work, or even just something to talk about, he has always been there. In addition to this, he has strived to push each and every one of us to reach the grades that we all want to reach. For my class in particular, Rob has got to know us better than any other lecturer, without him around, it will also make it a lot more difficult to have a good reference for university as well as have someone to tell you how you have developed through out the course.
Im sure that there are many more of you who have had or are currently taught by Rob, we need to make our voices heard. Many of us need him to be in college, it is massively important to so many students, he has a brilliant skill set as well as a heart of gold.
So if you're with me, sign this petition and share your reasons for needing him here. Its the only way to try and get him back.
