Save Tiny Tigers

We the undersigned wish to voice our objection in relation to the closure of the Tiny Tigers pre-school connected to Castlefields Infant School, Rastrick, Brighouse. Tiny Tigers is an integral part of the Rastrick community and a rock solid foundation to the structure of Castlefields Infants School. The children attending the pre-school are settled and it would be wrong to uproot them at the crucial time of early development. We also need to consider the members of staff who are facing the threat of losing their jobs due to this closure. We feel that the governors of the school could have dealt with the situation more effectively by calling a meeting of the parents to discuss a way forward. We belive that it was wrong for the governors to announce the closure of the pre-school without giving us more notice and a chance to deal with the funding problems faced by the pre-school. Closure is not the only option and we think that it is in the childrens' best interests to find a way to keep Tiny Tigers open. .
