SCTV on DVD "Clear The Music" Petition

We, as fans of SCTV, by signing this petition, are showing our support for the SCTV on DVD Campaign. We are asking that Shout! Factory accept our letters and signatures and that they forward them onto the copyright holders whom have not allowed their music to be used on the SCTV DVD's up to this date and for future DVD releases of SCTV.

By signing this petition we are ultimately seeking to have our voice heard by the copyright holders. SCTV fans want them to know that allowing the use of their music on the SCTV DVD's is positive, profitable and worthwhile. Furthermore, copyright holders are missing out on an opportunity to be a part of the great comedy legend that is SCTV. Copyright holders have the potential to enhance their reputations in a positive way by allowing their music to be used on the SCTV DVD's for a reasonable fee that is fair to everyone. It is the intention of this campaign that Copyright Holders receive fair payment for their work. We, as SCTV fans, understand that this is how they earn their livelihood. When Copyright Holders allow the use of their music on the SCTV DVD's, it can also be another source of revenue for them.

SCTV fans want the Copyright Holders to know how much we would appreciate their involvement in allowing SCTV to use their music on the SCTV DVD's for a fair price and that they would have our undying gratitude. All we ask is that Copyright Holders listen to SCTV fans and reconsider their position at the bargaining table.

SCTV fans are asking that Shout! Factory work closely in conjunction with the SCTV on DVD Campaign and the fans of SCTV. We are asking, for the entire series to be released complete and uncut with all of the music used in the original broadcasts. We are also asking that seasons four and five, which have already been released, be re-released at some time in the future with all of the music used in the original broadcasts restored. Thank You.
