Shame on Public Services

This is a petition on how your public services are being ran. On Saturday October 30, 2006 a group of about 40 people went to a friends field to celebrate graduation. The RCMP, sustainable resources, and fire department were called out because they claimed the fire to be "out of control" Keeping in mind it was a few palets and a smouldering bale which would barely burn. The owner of the property understood the RCMP's reasoning and decided to kill the party. After the fire had been put out everyone left and that was that. The next day he was notified that he had to pay 7000 dollars for the resources used to combat the "monstrous" fire. Meanwhile, a domestic disturbance in a local native reserve turned ugly and a woman was stabbed. I for one am shocked at the way the situation was handled and the treatment of my friend who was fully cooperative with the requests of the RCMP. I understand their reasoning and that its their job to do what they did. i just believe our Public Services need to set priorities. The money isn't as much of an issue as is the woman that got stabbed.
