Buffy the Vampire Slayer was more than just a TV show. It touched people at so many different levels. There was humor, tragedy, social issues and everyday situations. Buffy Summers was a role model to many young and not so young women. The Scoobies represented aspects in everyone of all ages, and genders. In every episode there was something that connected with the viewer, every viewer. Never before has a TV show held an audience captive week after week, year after year.
Buffy the vampire Slayer has a very high standing among critics, academics, and fans and we believe it deserves to be seen by a wider audience.
There are many people who did not discover BtVS until close to the end of the seven seasons and even more who have heard good things about it but not seen an episode. Then there are others who are not aware of BtVS or Angel at all. These people deserve a chance to see this show.
We feel in its first run Buffy did not reach anywhere near its full potential due to the poor timeslot and lack of promotion.
We would like Channel 7 to bring re-runs of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel back to regular programming at an earlier time, 8:30pm or 9:30pm.
