StarCraft 1.10 Fixes

As you should obviously know, you recently released the 1.10 patch for StarCraft: Brood War. This patch had been released because fans had been outraged about the lack of map hack control and the now infamous "Float a Drone" bug. Although I myself am very satisfied at this, there are two huge flaws in the patch that have caused outrage in the StarCraft: Brood War community.

The first error is that there have been no balance changes in the game. Although many people say that no new changes need to be implemented, a careful analysis of the game reveals that there are many little things here and there that should be fixed. However, specific things shouldn't be mentioned here, as it might divide opinion. The lack of these changes in general make your new patch look like no thought was really given to the game play. However, the balance of the game is ultimately up to yourselves. But that is no excuse for the other problem with this patch.

Very simply put, old replays from patch 1.09b and below don't work, and I think this is a total outrage! And I am not the only one, people throughout the StarCraft community who learn from replays and like to save replays to show their accomplishments are now unable to access archives of games that may have personal value to them. The ultimate problem with this is that this should be very easily correctable. The replay code is done so that the replay units are all controlled in real time so that you can look at their stats. And whenever there's a patch little changes in the units AI's the whole thing can be buggered up. All that needs to be done is modify the replay code so that when it reads a replay written in 1.09b code it will just run it that way. However to be fair I'm not a computer technician, and it might be harder than I am describing. But it is no excuse for a company whose job is to make games that deliver maximum quality to the consumer, and reaps profit by doing so.

We as fans of StarCraft are utterly disappointed that a company that has shown such passion for consumer support and the making great games has recently released inferior products such as WarCraft 3 and now his released a patch that is essentially "throwing us a bone." We know that you can do better than this and your past reputation demands that you do.

In conclusion you should listen to the voices of your fans who have supported you and your products for so long and give us a REAL patch that will help bring StarCraft closer to perfection
