In the State of Washington it states in RCW 9A.16.100, "that the physical discipline of a child if done moderately and reasonably is not unlawful if done by a parent, teacher or guardian in the means of teaching or correcting the child."
As we all know, not all parents that spank do so in a moderate and reasonable fashion.
There are many studies conducted that report a direct corralation to spanking and major anti social disorders.
Spanking should be outlawed.
