Support For A New Redding Venue

We are hoping to gain your support in developing a reliable, community-based venue for concerts and musical events in the Redding area. In addition, we intend to gather support for worthy causes within Shasta County in the form of benefit concerts in which all proceeds collected at the close of the evening would be donated to pre-determined charities and non-profit organizations.
The need for something of this nature has been dire for quite some time and we are eager to overcome any necessary obstacle faced in order to see this through. For years the Redding area has seen a number of extremely talented bands and performers play to crowds of hundreds without any support from local mainstream radio or television networks. Based solely on handbill and flyer distribution, word of mouth and the support of our peers within the local music scene we've managed to build up an extremely positive outlet for younger kids, teenagers and adults to express their vision and talent through music. It's this commitment and sense of community within the music scene that keeps it growing to this day.
We feel a great need for this and we hope to gain your assistance in the matter. The lack of stable facilities to house these kinds of events could prove detrimental among younger musicians getting involved in our area.
