This week, you considered measures to prohibit landlords from leasing to illegal immigrants, fining businesses that employ them and making English the city's official language. Although the ACLU and LULAC have called you "anti-Mexican" and "anti-American" and have threatened to not only launch a lawsuit but start a recall effort against certain members of the Council, we, as legal Americans wish to show our support and encourage the council to stop illegal aliens from living and operating in Farmers Branch. What you do in your city will be a model for other cities across the nation. We hope that you will not be deterred or bullied, but that each one of the City Council members will stand up and do what is right, not only for the community, but for generations to come. Please fight illegal immigration!
