I feel all Irish citizens have the right to vote and not only while they are in there country, town and constituency but the right should be extended to them while they are out of the country.
The Irish government pushed enough young people out of the country in the past decade that they would be afraid to let them monopolise the taint the voting register. I personally feel that if I return to my country without my say as to who should have power, that I do not have a right to complain about there lack of effort, empty promises to name a few and over all problems each party leaves in there wake. I feel, we as a nation and society, have the right to choose even if that means we are in another country.
Australia allows people to vote via post and or though an embassy while abroad, why is this not looked at as a potential avenue?
Open the gates Ireland (an Dáil Éireann) and let us have our choice, rights and freedom back!! Stop keep the power of the people away from the people. Give us back our basic rights.
