The Valley Stream Park (Ottawa) retains Greenbelt status

The National Capital Commission (NCC) is considering removing the Greenbelt status from Valley Stream Park. Valley Stream is the grassy, wooded area that borders Qualicum-Graham Park near the Queensway Carleton Hospital and Richmond Road.

We the undersigned, petition the NCC;
This land should remain part of the Greenbelt, since it fits with the NCC's vision for the role of the Greenbelt as:
- a natural environment that is home to frogs, ducks and birds and has also been the location of sightings of raccoons and even a fox and
- a place for recreation, where the extended community is active outdoors, participating in healthy recreational activities, in a safe and enjoyable area.
