Ultimate Driving Machine Slogan Should Stay!

"Were stunned. One of the most successful advertising slogans of all time is no more. BMWs tagline, "The Ultimate Driving Machine," is headed for the trash heap, to be replaced by the soul-less A Company of Ideas. That line really makes you willing to plunk down luxury-car cash for a new ride, doesnt it?

The reason the "ultimate" tagline actually worked was because BMW backed it up with products that were thrilling to drive. How often can you pull off something so ostentatious so easily?

There are a few successful taglines we could see going, like Mazdas "Zoom-Zoom." But "The Ultimate Driving Machine"? Were not quite sure how ideas connect with driving. This could go down as the "ultimate" mistake in automotive advertising history.

If the above is true, the following petition is hoped to reach those decision makers at BMW AG / BMW Group HQ

We, proud owners of BMW vehicles hereby urge that BMW re-instate the tagline "Ultimate Driving Machine" and please, please (if the Ultimate Driving Machine really have been dropped) drop the new lame and corny tagline/slogan "A Company of Ideas" (what was that???).

We hope that you will help spread this online petition to show how strongly we feel that the "Ultimate Driving Machine" should stay cos' we believe we are driving the "ultimate" machine that we're proud of.

Go on show your support by signing, say where u're from and immediately fwd the link to at least 10 of your friends, post it on your local online BMW Clubs.
