Uncancel Catwoman

To Dan DiDio and DC Comics,

We, the undersigned, wish to voice our dissatisfaction at your decision to cancel the current Catwoman series as of issue #81 in July 2008. Since its launch under the pen of Ed Brubaker in 2001, the series has been critically lauded, and has successfully managed to develop Catwoman into one of DC's strongest and most complex heroines.

Too often strong female characters are unable to carry a series for a long period of time, with series such as Manhunter, Batgirl, and others have struggled with sales, ultimately resulting in their unfortunate cancelation. However, given the recent cancelation and relaunching of Manhunter (twice!), as well as the popularity and iconic status of the Catwoman character, we hope that you may reconsider your decision to cancel the Catwoman series and allow it to continue its run with the current numbering. As fans of the character, we would be disappointed to see our favourite female character to go from having her own monthly series to being reduced to appearing in various Batman-related titles whenever the writers feel so inclined to use her.

Please reconsider your decision, and allow this great character and series to continue to shine.
