USC FOOTBALL FANS -- CALL TO ACTION

Nichole Carroll and I are on a campaign to establish a home base in Orange County for this season's upcoming football season. For years, I have been confused as to why there is not a central location for everyone to meet and watch the games. Adding frustration to my confusion was the surprisingly large (and vocal) presence of Michigan State fans at my usual Saturday afternoon hang out, Rudys in Newport Beach. Not that I liked this place that much . . . the food was average, the place was dark as a cave, the seating was horrible, and those annoying MSU fans were there with their boom-box every friggin Saturday (the waitresses were friendly, though) . . . but there was no better alternative.







THIS IS ALL CHANGING! If you have not heard, Rudy (the owner duh!) is pumping tons of cash into the place and giving it a complete makeover, including plasma TVs, a retractable roof and rooftop patio. From what I can see, the place is going to be amazing and the last thing I want is the MSU monkeys to move back in like nothing has changed. We are here to rally every local SC fan to help Nichole and I make Rudys the official SC football destination!







HOW WILL THIS HAPPEN? First, Rudy has no allegiance to MSU, it's just a leftover (more like a hangover) from prior ownership -- so it's not like the nostalgia argument will carry any weight if any Spartan fans complain. Second, MSU sucks (and I don't just mean the football team) so why would he want to continue supporting them when he could support the local soon-to-be 3 time national champions? Third and most important, we can offer a better alternative than the status quo by bringing in a much larger local fan base, which means more $$$$$. If we can demonstrate a group of 100+ SC fans that want to show up for each game this season, then we take over, hands down.







By adding your name to the petition you are telling Rudy that you want to come to his place to watch the games. Nichole and I will take the list to Rudy and see what he can do about furthering our cause (e.g. dedicated SC sections, drink/food specials, etc.). And by adding your email address, you will receive a mid-week email reminder of the game time and any other relevant information for that weeks game.







By the way, neither of us even knows Rudy or has anything to do with the bar. We just want a cool place to watch games with a ton of other SC fans. Suggestions are welcome. Thanks, and Fight On!
