Washingtonians for State Transmission of Impeachment Charges Against Bush & Cheney

We the people of the State of Washington request our state representatives act as provided under Section 603 of the United States House Rules, which allows for the inception of impeachment proceedings in the House of Representatives by charges transmitted from the legislature of a state. We ask that our state legislators transmit to Congress our demand that George W. Bush and Richard Cheney be impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors.

These include, but are not limited to:

Lying to lead our nation into illegal, preemptive war, the "supreme crime" as determined by our own Nuremburg prosecutors, causing needless loss of life of our fellow citizens as well as vast losses from our treasury and indebting future generations to pay for said unnecessary war.

Committing vast war crimes in our name, killing tens, perhaps hundreds of thousands of innocent people while destroying whole nations, and violating international treaties which are the highest law of our land according to our Constitution, making us all complicit in their crimes and liable for damages.

Illegal wiretapping of citizens without warrants, imprisonment of American citizens without charge, torture of individuals convicted of no crime, in violation of international law, thereby exposing our troops to similar treatment should they be captured, and other violations of our inalienable constitutional rights and freedoms.
