We, overseas students are coming here, in Australia to study with hope to gain valuable knowledge for our proposed brighter future. One of the main reason why we are here is we love Australia.
In return, we do need to be protected safely and efficiently from polices especially authorities. As we are living thousand miles far from our beloved countries and families, we always feel to be endangered. Thanks for the Australian law rules as well as the government's efforts to protect us currently. However, we do need more awareness and attention from you, the authorities and the citizens.
Just a week ago (26/12/2010), one of us has been attacked seriously by a group of 5-6 youngsters in a such crowded street (corner of Bourke str vs. Swanton str) and in a very cheering day like Boxing day (the day which everybody is gifted). His name is Vu Ngoc Minh, he has been lost consciousness since then. Doctors of The Royal Melbourne Hospital said "he is in very very serious conditions, part of his head bones was removed to cure for his brain, but we are not sure, he still might die". His name VU NGOC MINH, he is currently studying at MIBT and Deakin University. Even now, he may still has no idea why he was attacked badly by that group of people. And sadly, in a crowded day as well many people were walking on the street, the attack still happened.
