We want a Sailor Moon uncut dub for all seasons by ADV Films

We are fans of the anime series Sailor Moon. It was great series with five seasons. It started as an anime in 1992, and was the best anime ever.

Until DiC got rights for it. They ruined the American version by cutting out scenes and giving it the worse voice acting ever. We were even angered when they said that they refuse to release uncut versions. Then, during the second half of the R season, they stopped.

But when Sailor Moon was shown on USA Network, DiC decided to do more damage and show 13 episodes to try and end it. They came to the U.S.A. when the show came on Cartoon network's Toonami, and then ADV Films put it on VHS and DVD. It was hit like Dragonball Z.

Then, the news came that Sailormoon S and Sailormoon SuperS was coming to the United States. But unfortunately, they were ruined also. But not by Dic, but by another company called Cloverway. They wrote the worse dub scripts ever, getting info about the characters completely wrong, and giving Usagi / Sailormoon a horrible voice. It was edited for television, but Pioneer released so-called "uncut" versions that, unfortunately, had most of the content that was edited for TV in it.

Now, word's out that Cloverway is doing the fifth and final season, Sailor Moon stars, and I won't stand for it.

Ever since ADV released Seasons 1 + 2 uncut in two seperate boxsets, I felt that they should've gotten the rights to do S and Super S. But the sets were Japanese language-only, and none of us liked it, since we are only used to the usual English language. And yes, the english subtitiles didn't work either.


This petition calls for ADV Films to make Sailor Moon uncut in individual DVds (and UMD Video for PSp, if that'll work), but with good English dubbing that the current gatchaman production they're doing has. I bet ADV Films will do a better dub than DiC. This petition also calls for Pioneer / Geneon Entertainment and Cloverway to give up rights to S and Super S to ADV Films, as they did a horrible job doing them. We also want ADV Films to do the dubbing for Sailor Moon Stars.


Sailor Moon has been made a mockery thanks to DiC and Cloverway, and I feel it is time for them to be created to be viewed the way Takeuchi Naoko intended it.

America has destroyed the first four seasons of Sailor Moon like they were nothing but useless junk. ADV Films is the only anime dubbing company responsible for the job. We will not allow America to do the same thing on Sailor Moon Stars. Please sign if you are a loyal Sailor Moon fan sick of this abuse.
