We want back our rightful marks!

This statement is submitted on behalf the entire class of 1/8. We have decided to come together and submit this appeal with regards to the Geography CA2 paper. Pursuant to Riverside Secondarys Examination Conduct, paragraph 14, point 2, students are given the chance to appeal or clarify against the awarding of marks. In question (3d) of the Geography paper, Figure 3.

The figure depicts a floor plan in which site W is outside the school building, Y is in the middle of the school orchard and Z is in the middle of an open field. The problem lies with X where in the floor plan, is clearly depict as being outside the school building and not in the geography room as explained. This resulted in students answering wrongly for question (3d) and the loss of a mark. As this mistake was repeated with almost every student in the class, we have reason to doubt the answer given. This was clearly a mistake on the part of the settler and not the students.

With regards to this, students loss a mark and it is clearly unfair to us. The X can be placed on the school building instead with a clear arrow for labeling it as the geography room. We thus appeal for the mark to be given to us. Examinations should be a test of knowledge and not answer trick questions. With due respect to you, we sincerely hope that you will open an official review into this case. We have enclosed a petition with signatures of affected students and they are from the different express class in Riverside Secondary which includes 1/8.
