i am a parent whos child attends school in newport school district and has gotten headlice four times in the school year.I believe that if the child is caught scratching their head then they should be sent to the nurse so she can check the childs hair,then if the child is found to have lice the nurse should call the parent and notify them that the child can not come to school the next day unless they have been treated.I also think that they need to treat any rugs that are in the classrooms.
