WINDSOR ANIMAL LOVERS DEMAND STRONGER ANIMAL CRUELTY LAWS!
In light of some recent horrific events involving cruelty to animals in Windsor, Ontario, we the public demand that our legislation be changed to ensure that anyone who commits any act of cruelty on a creature be given a punishment befitting of the crime.
We want:
1. Any acts of cruelty towards an animals to be considered a provincial offense.
2. Stiffer penalties for abusers, including jail terms, fines and lifetime bans on animal ownership.
3. Inspection rights at facilities where animals are kept for sale or exhibit.
4. Banning animal fighting and puppy mills.
5. Protection for veterinarians from liability when reporting allegations of cruelty.
One hundred plus years of lax legislation is long enough. It's time for a change!
