Aberystwyth Skate Park Petition

Aberystwyth Skate Park is a steel construction park, originally installed around 2002 and is now beyond its intended life. As a result, aloing with various safety issues, the park is outdated and no longer promotes creativity, learning and social inclusion.
Aberystwyth has a growing skateboard, rollerblade and B,X culture. Every day, young people are trying to pursue their sports in a facility, which is beyond its life and becoming dangerous, or in unsuitable places.
Young people should be encouraged to participate safely in healthy activities and a new skate park would provide a much-needed improvement in local wheeled sports facilities.
We, the undersigned, believe that there is a need for a new skate park in Aberystwyth, Ceredigion.
