Bill C-377 PETITION (Public Disclosure - Labour Unions) - FreeCause

TO THE HONOURABLE HOUSE OF COMMONS OF CANADA IN PARLIAMENT ASSEMBLED WE THE UNDERSIGNED CITIZENS OF CANADA, draw the attention of the House to the following: WHEREAS one of the hallmarks of a stable and mature democracy is financial transparency and accountability in institutions that serve the public; and WHEREAS the majority of Canadians believe labour unions should be required to disclose how they spend union dues; AND WHEREAS labour union financial transparency allows the Canadian public to gauge the effectiveness, financial integrity and health of unions; THEREFORE WE, THE UNDERSIGNED petition Parliament to pass public disclosure legislation for labour unions, such as Bill C-377.
