Bring back quality Australian drama, scripted comedy, and variety TV.
The state of Australian commercial television has become increasingly dismal.Networks seem to be committed to filling their programming with as little effort, creativity and expense as possible.
They are relying far too heavily on cheaply made, unimaginative reality shows and backyard renovation shows to meet their local content requirements.
Many people are sick of reality TV and/or never liked it in the first place,
but reality shows are just about the only Australian content networks are offering. Is copying overseas reality shows all they can do?
Currently there are only 5 Australian adult dramas, one of which ends this year. There are no Australian sit-coms or drama-comedies. There are a couple of sketch comedies that are obviously made on tiny budgets.
The popularity of "Thank God You're Here" demonstrates that people want to see Australian comedy. The show makes an effort with sets and costumes, but how about something with a script?
Please give us some programs with a bit of innovation, intelligence, decent production values, and visual flair.
Please do not give us "Australia's Brainiest Dancing Renovation Princess VIII"

Thank God You're Here is the only decent thing made in recent times.Most Australian made for Television shows are a joke. They are a waste of money and time. If the ABC can get it right then why not the other channels?

Sick of all the programmes that are on, need quality stuff, had enough of game shows too.Too many stupid reality shows.Channel 9 is the worst for axing great soapies! im watching 7, 10, abc now.
