Change American Idol Voting

In light of the departure of Jennifer Hudson and most recently LaToya London, it has come to our attention that the current voting procedure for American Idol is both flawed and subject to abuse.

As viewers of your television program, we respectfully request that, in the interest of preserving the integrity of American Idol and avoiding any appearance of impropriety, the voting procedure be revamped. We urge you to institute the following suggested changes prior to the fourth season of American Idol to ensure the fairness of the competition.

1. Limit telephone votes to 5 per phone line.
2. Implement an internet voting procedure and limit votes to 1 per IP address.
3. Extend the 2-hour voting window to 3 hours.
4. Following the announcement of the voting results each week, release the vote count tallies of every contestant.
