Cricket has been played regularly in the Central PA region, with increasing popularity. The baseball/softball fields currently serve as the central hub for all cricket enthusiasts here. The absence of a cricket ground has forced modifications in the rules of the game, and hampers its spirit.
We request the township provide a ground of appropriate size and layout for the game of cricket, and prepare the field suitably. We believe this initiative will promote cricket as a sport in our area; allow better community building; have a positive health effect on playing kids and adults; and will stimulate the local economy.
