Malicious spyware programs destroy a computer's abilities by making them slower and invading privacy by sending out information of the computer owner to the spyware company. The level of annoyance of a spyware program is second only to computer virii. Spyware is close enough to being a virus because it is usually put onto one's computer without their knowlege and it is just as hard to get rid of. This petition will hopefully make spyware illegal as it invades privacy and maliciously downgrades computer performance.

Why is it okay for these companies to put stuff on MY computer and look at MY stuff. I have had to actually restore my computer 2 times in the past year because the spyware was so bad.
