Council Need to cull the stray dogs up around Middleton and West Streets South Kempsey!

For years there have been stray dogs running the streets of South Kempsey and we've had enough!! Despite numerous complaints, telephone calls and requests for council to do something about the stray dogs NOTHING has been done!
If one calls the council to complain about stray dogs in their yard, attacking their cats or other animals, pulling bins over to search for food etc, one is told that the ranger will not come and find these dogs. You are told the ranger will collect the dog/dogs IF YOU the complainant catch and restrain these dogs yourself........THIS IS NOT THE GENERAL PUBLIC'S JOB!! Why is the ranger employed by council if not to find and remove stray animals from our streets???
Last night my sister's VERY large, VERY expensive American Bulldog was pulled THROUGH THE FENCE and set upon by a mastive cross and a pitt bull. This is NOT the first time he's been attacked by these dogs and it is a well known fact that they have killed cats and other small animals before. The bulldog's injuries were so severe that he was euthenaised. My sister is devastated to say the least. His larynx was torn, he had extensive puncture wounds all over his body and both his front legs were broken. This happened at around 3am this morning in West Street, South Kempsey.
WHAT IF THIS HAD BEEN A CHILD?? How many times do we have to complain before the council does something about it?!!!!!!
I propose that Kempsey Shire Council send letters to everyone in both Middleton and West Streets, South Kempsey to warn them beforehand and then CULL THESE DANGEROUS DOGS! get rid of them so our animals and our children can carry on with their lives without the fear and threat of serious injury or even death!! KEMPSEY COUNCIL DO.YOUR.JOB!!!!!
