We the undersigned believe that Garth Turner, elected as a Conservative Member of Parliament for the riding of Halton, should either; immediately resign and seek the Liberal nomination in the subsequent by-election, or sit as an Independent Member of Parliament until the next general election. These actions ensure the people of Halton and in general all Canadians can be represented by the party and candidate of their choice.
In regards to the defection of other Members, Garth Turner has been unequivocally critical of their contempt for the democratic principles involved. We believe that Garth Turner has the same responsibility, both the people of Canada and in particular the people of Halton, to uphold proper democratic rights.
