Demand an Apology from Splendour in the Grass Organisers

Following the numerous crashes and problems with the 2007 Splendour in the Grass online ticketing system, we the undersigned, demand that the organisers of the Splendour in the Grass festival publicly apologise to the thousands of punters who have missed out on tickets to the festival in August.
Thousands of people waited patiently online to get through the new 'fair' queue-style ticketing system this morning, only to be bumped to the back of the queue, be told that their internet browser must have cookies enabled (despite the settings on individual computers), be sent back to the 'Virtual Waiting Room' and have numerous other problems for hours on end.
Some people took the day off work and missed class, just to be online or calling on the phone to ensure that they could make one of their favourite weekends of the year - Splendour in the Grass.
Many people had already booked and paid for accommodation, which they will now lose deposits on. The system allowed people to go through a back door link so people could jump the queue and get tickets before others who had been waiting there for longer.
This is an absolutely shamble, and the thousands fans and previous patrons of Splendour in the Grass who didn't manage to get a ticket on this unfair and messy system deserve an apology from organisers and OzTix!

OzTix is an absolute joke. Either distribute Splendour 2008 tickets through Ticketek- or I wont even bother trying to get tickets at all next year.

I'm sick of festival organisers doing a weak job. I was hoping Splendour would help me get over the disaster that was Good Vibrations GC, but no, just another let down from poor organisation.

I completely agree. While I'm okay with not getting tickets. I wish it had happened on a fairer basis. So much for "first in first served".
