We believe that everyone in British Columbia should be able to have some type of dental coverage. When we pay our medical services bill each month, if we added $5 or $10 to each account, then everyone should be eligible for up to $500.00 worth of basic preventative dental hygiene coverage per year. This would help cut down the costs for people going to the emergency for medical assistance due to abcesses, broken teeth etc. If everyone could go see a dental hygienist and dentist for a cleaning and a checkup then problems could be stopped before they ever start or continually progress, saving pain and discomfort and the medical problems that could be associated with dental decay. Everyone has the right for a healthy smile so please sign the petition and lets try and get our government to include dental with our medical at a porvincial and federal level.
