We, the signers of this petition, ask that you do not support the Federal Marriage Amendment. We ask this of you because we believe that this amendment is inherently discriminatory. This amendment would prevent the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) community from having the same freedoms and privledges that heterosexual people have. This amendment would discriminate against citizens of this nation and would forever change how we, the United States of America, would be viewed to many good people of the world.
To disrespect and discriminate against any group of people is wrong and this amendment would disrespect and discriminate against the LGBT community. Please do not support the Federal Marriage Amendment so that all American citizens can have the same rights and privledges that all American citizens should be entitled to.
