Please do not change the standard time of Sri Lanka by 30 minutes in order to satisfy astrologers and LTTE. Doing this may satisfy astrologers and LTTE who is not contributing to the Sri Lankan economy in anyway. But doing so will have an adverse effect on thousands of people working for air lines, service oriented companies, organizations doing business with overseas parties, etc. These organizations do contribute to the Sri Lankan economy. Further more, if the time is set back by 30 minutes and if the starting times of schools and businesses are also set back by 30 minutes, there would be no difference other than making it difficult to calculate time in other timezones. If the stating time of the above mentioned institutions are not changed, it would mean that the entire country would work 30 minutes late. Basically this would mean that Sri Lankans are getting lazier day by day. The government has more responsibility towards the workforce of Sri Lanka than astrologers and terrorist groups like LTTE.
