Don't deport Nak and his father

We believe it is unfair for the Australian Government to deport Nak Assa (Nutthawetch Assavatheptavee) and his father, Charoon Assavatheptavee back to Thailand. Nak and his family have lived in Australia for eight years, and have fully integrated into Australian society. If Nak is deported his education here in Australia becomes meaningless, English is the only laguage that he can read and write. If Nak is deported, he will be illiterate in the Thai language and this is hardly fair on a fifteen year old. Nak has a sister and brother here in Australia, and his deportation will be tearing a family apart. Nak and his father want to stay here in Australia, and have made the effort to seek Citizenship but their application has been denied. The government can justify spending millions of our tax dollars on advertising campaigns to encourage applications for citizenship, but can deny citizenship to someone who wants and deserves it. We believe this action taken by the Australian Government to deport Nak and his father is grossly unjust. We protest most strongly against this deportation and we demand that Nak and his father be given permanent residency so that they may become Citizens of The Commonwealth of Australia.
